R35 collection by Studio Bonpart
R35 is collection of 3 side tables designed by Lukas Gstöttner and Verena Waidmann of Studio Bonpart. The name of the collection derives from the fact that their shapes are based on a radius of 35mm.
The Austria-based Studio Bonpart create series of table in three shapes; paper, skate, and loop. All of the pieces are designed as a variation of a circle with 35mm radius bent every time to fulfil a certain function: tucking a newspaper or magazine away from the main surface, carrying some drinks out to the garden, or hiding some books, remotes, or other goods.
The paper, skate, and loop tables are made of bent metal, matte powder-coated and available of a variety of colors.
Bonpart is a furniture and product design duo based in Vienna. Lukas Gstöttner and Verena Waidmann met during studies, where they discovered a shared understanding of design. Their “hands on” working method is an important part of the developing process philosophy. It allows the subtle message, to shift between honesty and playfulness, depending on the way materials are used. Their collaboration is a permanent dialogue, in which they draw upon different backgrounds in engineering and artistry.
They design for people, who identify with the everyday objects they consciously choose to surround themselves with.
