Umleiter Lamp by Veronika Gombert
Umleiter is a pendant lamp created by German designer Veronika Gombert. With its long cantilevered rod and a shaded light that can be turned on 360°, the lamp is flexible in all three dimensions and can be “positioned anywhere” within a one meter radius.
The Umleiter, which means diverter in German, was designed with the idea to help having the light where one needs it in a simple and direct way. The lamp is created for situations where the electricity connection is not where one would actually want the lamp to be hanging or simply position the light independently from the furniture.
The flexibility of the lamp enable it to be positioned anywhere within its 1m radius reaching distance in all 3 dimensions.
“Working with pure gravity it is a lighting tool, helping you to get light in the most direct and simplest way to where you need it. Height and distance work in dependency and can be preset. Additionally the lamp shade can be freely adjusted in height.” says Gombert.
